Sunwick (formerly Phasty) Terms of Use
Sunwick (formerly Phasty) Last updated: October 12, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and DansUGC LLC, New York, New York, United States ("we", "us"), for your use of the Sunwick iPhone app and its widgets, Live Activities, Controls and Siri shortcuts ("Sunwick", "the app"). By downloading or using Sunwick you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy (https://sunwick-app.pages.dev/privacy). If you don't agree, don't use the app.
1. Who can use Sunwick
You must be 18 or older. Sunwick isn't for anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding, has or has had an eating disorder, or has type 1 diabetes, and the app blocks fasting plans if you tell it any of these apply. If one applies to you, please don't use Sunwick to fast.
2. Health disclaimer
Sunwick is not a medical device and doesn't give medical advice. It's a timer and a log with general information about fasting.
- Talk to a doctor before you start fasting, before any fast longer than 24 hours, and if you have a medical condition (for example diabetes, heart or blood-pressure problems, kidney disease), take medication, are underweight, or have recently had surgery.
- Fasting stages, their timings and their evidence labels are general averages from published research, not measurements of your body. Everybody responds differently.
- Stop fasting and eat if you feel dizzy, faint, confused, shaky or unwell. Get urgent medical help for chest pain, fainting, severe weakness or confusion.
- Reminders, safety screens and plan limits are there to help, not to decide for you. You're responsible for your health decisions.
- Weight figures, trends and goals in the app are estimates and are not promises of any result.
3. Meal photo estimates and nutrition data
- Meal photo estimates are produced automatically and are approximate. They can be wrong, especially about portion size, oil, sauces and hidden ingredients. Always check and edit an estimate before you save it, and don't rely on it for medical, allergy or dietary decisions.
- Barcode and search results come from Open Food Facts, a public database that may contain errors. Values are shown as published.
- When you use a meal photo estimate, the photo and your note are processed by Google as described in the Privacy Policy. Don't photograph people, documents or anything you don't want processed.
4. Your licence to use Sunwick
We give you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use Sunwick on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by Apple's Usage Rules. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell or redistribute the app, its content or its artwork, try to get around its purchase or usage limits, or use it to build a competing product, except where the law lets you regardless of these terms.
5. Free features and Sunwick Plus
- The fasting timer, all fasting plans, the Small and Medium widgets and your full history are free to use without a subscription. We intend to keep them free, but we may change, add or remove features as the app evolves.
- Sunwick Plus is an optional auto-renewing subscription that unlocks extra features, which are described in the app before you buy. Plans, prices and any free trial are shown in the app at the time of purchase.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or when a free trial ends.
- Auto-renewal. Your subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Free trials. If a free trial is offered and you don't cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, it converts to a paid subscription. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription. Trials are available only to eligible new subscribers, as determined by Apple.
- Managing and cancelling. Open iOS Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions, or You › Manage subscription in the app. Deleting the app doesn't cancel a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies (reportaproblem.apple.com). We can't issue refunds for App Store purchases ourselves.
- Restore. Use "Restore" on the paywall or in You to restore Plus on a new device signed in with the same Apple Account.
- Price changes. If the price of your subscription changes, Apple will notify you and, where required, ask for your consent before the new price applies.
- Limits shown in the app for free users (for example the number of meal photo estimates per week) may change. Plus features that rely on outside services, such as meal photo estimates, may be paused if the service is unavailable.
6. Your data
Most of your data is stored only on your device, so you're responsible for keeping a copy (You › Export as CSV). We can't recover data lost when you delete the app, reset or lose your device, or use Delete all data. How we handle personal data is explained in the Privacy Policy.
7. Acceptable use
Don't use Sunwick to break the law, to harm yourself or others, to interfere with the app or the services it connects to (for example by automating requests to the meal-photo service), or to upload content you don't have the right to use.
8. Our content
The app, its design, the mascot, icons, illustrations, articles and texts belong to us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Learn articles summarise published research for general information and cite their sources. The Nunito font is used under the SIL Open Font License; Open Food Facts data is used under the Open Database License.
9. Changes and availability
We may update the app, change or discontinue features, or stop offering the app. We may update these terms; the new version applies from the date shown at the top. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app or in the release notes. If you keep using Sunwick after a change, you accept the new terms.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
To the extent the law allows, Sunwick is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of information, estimates or nutrition data, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Some places don't allow these exclusions, so some may not apply to you.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any health outcome, injury, loss of data or loss of profits arising from your use of Sunwick, including reliance on stage information, reminders, estimates or nutrition data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Sunwick Plus in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50 if you paid nothing. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your rights as a consumer under mandatory local law.
12. Ending these terms
You can stop using Sunwick at any time by deleting it (and cancelling any subscription in iOS Settings). We may suspend or end your licence if you seriously breach these terms. Sections 2, 3, 6, 8, 10, 11 and 14 continue after the terms end.
13. Apple
These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for Sunwick or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, and, to the extent the law allows, has no other warranty obligation for the app beyond refunding the purchase price if the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty. Apple isn't responsible for any claims relating to the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, consumer protection, privacy or intellectual-property claims; we are, to the extent these terms say so. You confirm you aren't in a country under a US government embargo or on a US list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. Where these terms and Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement differ, Apple's applies to the extent required.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of New York, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in New York County, New York have jurisdiction, unless the law of the country where you live gives you the right to bring claims in your local courts or to rely on its mandatory consumer protections.
